How do I get rid of a Virus?
CelTrust suggests using one of the following Anti-Virus Scanners to scan your computer. If you have already scanned, and nothing came up, the problem might not be a virus.
Warning: Only install one anti-virus. If you already have an anti-virus, run that.
How do I get rid of Spyware/Adware/Malware?
Adware, spyware, and malware are software components usually packaged with other software items, or installed through malicious code on websites. These software components can greatly slow down your computer, and cause it to get that "old" feeling. If you are getting a lot of popup ads, an increased amount of spam, or excessive toolbars on your web browser try installing one of these applications:
Good Practice: You should run your anti-spyware scanner everytime your computer starts to act funny. Spyware/adware is one of the main components which cause computers to slow down and start to feel "old."
How do I stop Viruses?
Try installing a Firewall program. Firewalls stop people who want to access your computer. Without a firewall, hackers can easily gain access into all of the information on your computer and send you trojans that can destory/slow your computer down.
